Who are Senzaburô SHIGEYAMA & the KIWAMI unit?

Senzaburô SHIGEYAMA

Born in 1964 in a Kyogen actor family in Kyoto.  Learns from his grandfather Sensaku SHIGEYAMA Ⅲ(National living treasure) and his father Sensaku SHIGEYAMA Ⅳ(National living treasure). The first stage was "Narihira-Mochi" as a kid roll when he was 3 years old. He's been active not only as a Kyogen actor but also as a director of other genre play. In 2020, he decided to individual from Sengoro SHIGEYAMA Family.

Ryô KUROKAWA

Born in 1997. He learns from Senzaburo SHIGEYAMA since he was 3 years old. The first stage was "I-ro-ha" in 2001. He founded Sagano high school Kyogen club in 2014. Since 2020,  a KIWAMI member. 

Riku NAKAMURA

Born in 1998. His first appearance was "Busu" in 2007. He Studied under Hirokazu MORI in his childhood and  has been studying under Senzaburo SHIGEYAMA since 2018. A member of KIWAMI since 2021.

Taichi MIYAZAKI

Born in 2004. His first stage was "Kusabira" in 2015, at the age of 11. A Kiwami member since 2022.
